Call for Art: It’s the Small Things . . .

Midcoast/Downeast UMVA members are invited to submit work to a forthcoming exhibition on the theme of It’s the Small Things . . .

We are constantly reminded to remember to stop and smell the roses, to look on the bright side, and that it’s the small things that matter—admonitions that are hard to adhere to in difficult times. What small things attract your attention? What are the moments or experiences that get you through troubled times? What rekindles your spirit, sparks joy, or even offers some necessary distraction?

Theme may be interpreted broadly. Literally—as in depicting small objects, creatures, or close-up studies of your environment—or as exemplified by the joy we experience and express in actually creating our artwork.
