Waters seethe with the blood of my black brothers and sisters

Staining those hypocrite Christians who don’t believe we are all children of god

Waters seethe with unanswered questions about the struggle for justice

Keep your head above the waters and dance through this storm

Waters seethe with cries of children still held in cages

Denounce the tragedy of racism and whiteness everywhere you can

Brief Statement from Harold: These paintings are fluid, allowing and demanding the viewer to find a personal completion of the imagery.

Waterfall Arts is proud to be presenting these paintings and more, in a solo exhibition Harold Garde: You Are Not Alone, on the occasion of the organization’s twentieth anniversary. The show runs August 28 – October 16, 2020 in the Clifford Gallery at Waterfall Arts, and in an online gallery through the Waterfall Arts website: https://waterfallarts.org/portfolio/harold-garde-you-are-not-alone/

Art for the sake of art, a respite

A coffee, a meal, a day at a time.
